Considering dying my hair from blonde to brunette?

I am 15 and I have always had very blonde hair and never dyed it or highlighted it or anything before but I am starting to become tired of it. I am considering dying my hair a light brunette and I was wondering if anyone else has changed their hair color from blonde to brunette and if you think I should do it. I have kind of fair skin and blue eyes. Currently my hair is pretty long (a few inches below my shoulder), naturally straight and I have side bangs. How do you think it will look?

no! i wouldnt atleast because im basically the same very blonde light skin an i dyed my hair an i looked like a ghost no worse than that lol but yeah i would just leave ur hair alone i wish i wouldve but yeah my hair is back to normal now an stayin that way!

I did that with my hair (i'm same: pale/blue eyes) and it looked amazing! I look a lot better with brunette hair.

However, my hair then naturally turned brown as I got older..sooo I don't need to dye it anymore.

The only thing is though, If you want the blonde back you're going to have to either grow it out (bad roots!! ew), or bleach your hair..which is very bad for it.

I would recommend the "temporary" dye first to see if you like it.. then if you don't it'll fade with time and you'll have your blonde back..and if you do like it you can (once its faded) dye it brunette with permanent. This is what I did.

but remember: the only way to get out permanent dye is to cut your hair so that the dyed hair is physically gone (the hair that grows will have your natural color) or to bleach your hair back to blonde.

Ya go for it i know tons on blondes who eventually go to brunette and it looks sooooo nice.

It makes them look more mature.

to tell you the truth, natural hair ALWAYS looks better than died hair. try scrunging your hair in the morining. it will look amazing

dont do it! because if you dont like it it will fade and look bad and youll have to keep dying it the way it was for it to look normal. it will never look the same. but do what you want

I don't think you should do it! (I actually look like you, by the way u just described)! Don't give me thumbs down for this, but it won't look right to you later on. Maybe you can get a few light brown highlights, that would look totally cute! Plus, they're replaceable, like you can always just go over htose highlights with the same hair color as yours already is. If it's plain and boring still, get a hair cut and sometiems curl your hair for a change.

I guess you could temporary dye as someone mentioned, but then you could develope weird roots. Blue eyes also look more exotic with brown hair I guess, but I think it looks great with blonde. I'm afraid you will want your old hair back though!

I've changed my hair to all different shades (I am a natural brunette who has went blonde, black, red, and back again!) I say go for it. It's always nice to have a little change. For those who have mentioned to try a temporary color, I have to tell you, these "semi permanent" colors tend to stick around in hair especially in blonde hair, so when you do decide to go blonde again, you will have to color it (or it is best to have it colored. Working with bleach to lighten hair is very tricky...and can have disastrous results!) People have also said that natural hair looks better than dyed hair. Not true. Some people are born with a very bland haircolor, and even just putting in highlights makes such a difference. If you feel like you want to make this change, go for it! It's not anything life altering, no one will get hurt, and it's completely safe. It's just hair, and you can always fix it, and it will always grow out!

By the way, I think brown would make your blue eyes really pop. You may even want to go as dark as a medium golden brown, if you're feeling more daring.
