I want to get a color streak in my hair, help?

Okay, so I want to get a color streak in my hair. One problem is that a blue or purple streak is not really "me". Let's just say I'm not the kind of person you'd expect to get a blue streak in her hair. I also don't know if people would think its cool, or weird. People in my school are really obnoxious and judgemental (I don't like getting made fun of, nobody does).And, I don't want to give my new teachers a bad impression. Well, that's what my mom is worried about. See, I get staight A's and my mom thinks that it will somehow affect that.......

My other problem is that I have NO idea what to do or what to buy to do it! So, please help?

I was thinking of getting it kind of under so it's not THAT noticable, but you could really see it if your hair was in a ponytail. I'm going into 8th grade. I have fair color skin, hair color that could either be brown or blonde... its kind of inbetween... and blue eyes.

Get color extensions. The salon usually charge 5 dollors per strand (a bunch of hair in a strand). It's a tiny cylinder clip that is attached to your hair. Whenever you don't want it anymore they will take it off for you. It's better than highlights because it won't dry out your hair. It stays forever if you don't want to take it off. It's not like a normal bobbi pin clip that you buy outside. It's only done it the salon. Goodluck!

Well, i would either do a small blond streak, or a brown streak, depending what color hair you have.

You know, there are really cute clip in colour streaks. Get a few in fun, funky colours. Then, when you want to rock a streak or two, put them in. Leave them out for school and other places where you wouldn't want them to show.

They have temporary hair dye that will do this. It will last for about two weeks or so. Try this first and see how people react. Your mom is more likely to go for it. There is also one that washes out. You can get these at salons, I have saw them if one salon does not have it check another.

Also if its not you then why do you want to do it. Your teachers will not get a bad impression of you. I think most teachers now are used to seeing it and have moved on with their opinions. I did it when I was in 8th grade except me and all my friends used marker lol. The teachers just shook their heads like we were stupid.

Go for it but do a color you like and a washout or temporary dye that way you can see how people react. If its done right and not sloppy people may like it.
